A 47 year old man from East Dubuque was arrested this week on a warrant charging two counts of second-degree sexual abuse. Polices 47 year old Shannon L. Towne was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Dubuque Law Enforcement Center. Court documents say that a teenage girl contacted authorities in Wisconsin in September 2022. The girl told police that she had been sexually abused on two occasions by Towne, a man she knew approximately three years earlier. During their investigation Police made an attempt to speak with Towne in November of 2022 but Towne refused. A warrant was issued for Towne’s arrest in March 2023.
