This is National Police Memorial Week and today is National Peace Officers Memorial Day.
In honor of the day, the chaplains with the Dubuque Police Department are hosting a memorial service this morning at 10 o’clock outside the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on Iowa Street.
The ceremony will consist of posting of colors by Honor Guards, invocation, and remarks from Sheriff Joe Kennedy and Police Chief Jeremy Jensen.
