A Cuba City man has died from the severe burn injuries he suffered in an explosion and fire at his home in Cuba City earlier this week.
Firefighters were called to the home on at 423 East Webster Street on Thursday evening around 6 o’clock following a loud explosion. Officials determined the explosion happened in the garage and fire quickly spread to the home.
Officials say a 72-year old man, whose name hasn’t been released yet, was located in the garage and pulled from the flames. He was first taken to Southwest Health before being airlifted to U-W Hospitals in Madison where he died.
The Wisconsin State Fire Marshall says the explosion and fire were accidental.
