A Platteville man has died after the vehicle he was driving collided with three horses just north of Platteville.
The Grant County Sheriff say around three o’clock yesterday morning, 21-year old Russell Brooks was driving on Highway 80 near its intersection with Walnut Road. Authorities say the horses escaped their pasture and were running alongside the road when Brooks collided with them. Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene. The horses also died from injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. This is the third fatal crash in Grant County so far this year.
