City of Dubuque and Galena Assisting Residents With Storm Cleanup

NEWS STORM

As clean-up continues from Monday’s derecho storm, the City of Dubuque has announced it will be providing free collection of storm damaged tree limbs and branches. Beginning today and ending this Tuesday, residents may place the limbs and branches at the curb or alley line on their normal collection day and where solid waste containers are normally set out. Residents do not need to contact City staff to schedule limb or branch removal.

The city of Galena says it’s helping residents with storm clean up by opening up the old city landfill an extra day this week. The landfill located at 18-22 Donegan will be open on Thursday from 8 to 6 to bring in storm debris.  The landfill is normally open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 8 and 6.
