It’s back to school this week for most students in the Tri-States including in the Dubuque Community Schools with classes starting Friday. Dubuque Police Information Officer Luke Bock says this means motorists need to be extra cautious.
Bock reminds drivers too many distractions while driving could lead to tragedy.
Bock says parents can help out by talking to them about some of the safety rules.
Bock says children should never run into the street or between parked cars. When entering or exiting a school bus, children should always walk in front of the bus where the driver can see them.
