Two former area football standouts didn’t make the final roster cut and were released by theirr National Football League teams before the deadline yesterday
Dubuque Senior grad Sam Schnee was released by the Tennessee Titans, and the Cincinnati Bengals cut former University of Wisconsin-Platteville all-American Justin Blazek to get down to their teams’ 53-man limits.
Both Schnee and Blazek signed free-agent contracts immediately after the NFL Draft this spring and both will be eligible to make practice squads.
