A Dubuque man was arrested Thursday because police say he pulled out a handgun during a confrontation during a domestic situation.
Dubuque Police say 32-year old Nicolas Santillo was taken into custody on warrants charging control of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender, domestic assault with use or display of a weapon and child endangerment.
Police say the incident occurred on August 10 when a woman who Santillo has one child together with told officers Santillo showed the gun during a verbal confrontation with her while she was holding their child.
During a search warrant, police say they didn’t find a fire are in Santillo’s home but did find multiple rounds of ammunition underneath a bed.
