If you are looking for something to get you into the Christmas Holiday spirit, the Carnegie-Stout Public Library’s annual tree lighting will take place this weekend.
The 18 foot tree is decorated in full Victorian splendor and between 2pm and 3pm on Saturday afternoon you are invited to join the holiday festivities with the Dubuque Senior High Madrigal performers who will provide holiday music around the tree and the tree will be lit up for the first time. Children who attend can enter a drawing to help light the tree and there will also be holiday refreshments.
