CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KCRG) – Todd Stepsis has been named the new head football coach for the University of Northern Iowa. Yesterday UNI announced Stepsis agreed to a five-year contract. It comes after longtime UNI head coach Mark Farley announced his retirement.
Stepsis spent the last six-years as the head coach at Drake University and guided the Bulldogs to consecutive FCS Playoffs appearances, and compiled a 16-7 record over the last two years. He was also named the unanimous choice for Pioneer Football League Coach of the Year honors two years in a row.
