A southwest Wisconsin man charged with first degree murder intentional homicide has an arraignment date scheduled. On Tuesday in the Crawford County Circuit Court, a preliminary hearing for 39-year old Jessie Slaughter of Lancaster was held and an arraignment date of December 17th was issued for him to enter a plea to the charges.
Slaughter is accused in the October 25th death of 65-year old Daniel Welsch of Prairie du Chien who was found strangled and stabbed inside his apartment. Slaughter was arrested the next day at a residence in Platteville where he was staying at least part-time.
