Two Prairie du Chien women were taken to the hospital following a two vehicle crash in Grant County on Saturday morning.
The Grant County Sheriff says the accident happened around 6 o’clock at the intersection of Stage Road and Aupperle Road just south of Lancaster.
Authorities say a jeep driven by 61-year old Lois Fernette slowed too late and went through a stop sign at the intersection and into the path of a pickup truck pulling an empty utility trailer driven by 67-year old Jeffery Reuter of Lancaster. Both vehicles collided and went into the ditch, through a barbed wire fence and into a field. Fernette suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and passenger 36-year old Andrea Krogman received minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Grant Regional Health Center for treatment. Reuter wasn’t injured.
