A Benefit in support of three firefighters who suffered serious injuries while battling a grass fire in Jo Daviess County in early April will be held this weekend. The benefit for Elizabeth Fire Protection District First Assistant Chief Rob Pearce, firefighter Trent Breed and probationary firefighter Troy Vail will be held from 4:30p to 8p on Saturday at the Hanover Fire Department, 201 Fillmore Street. The Elizabeth firefighters provided mutual aid April 8 for a grass fire on South Rush Road with Hanover Fire Protection District.
