A two vehicle accident yesterday morning in northwest Illinois sent a Monticello, Iowa woman to the hospital.
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s office says the crash happened just before 8 o’clock on Highway 20 in Elizabeth. Authorities say a vehicle driven by 45-year old Milena Huseman crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle driven by 80-year old Wilbur Villont of Belvidere, Illinois.
Huseman was taken to Midwest Medical Center in Galena to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. She was cited for improper lane usage and driving under the influence of alcohol.
