A Louisiana man has died in a UTV accident in Grant County. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s office, the accident occurred Wednesday evening shortly before 5:30 on private property just north of Dickeyville.
Authorities say the UTV operated by 27-year old Mario Cardenas went out of control while going down a muddy hillside and rolled over pinning Cardenas underneath of it. Authorities say he was located about two hours after he had left on the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.

Another UTV accident last night in Grant County injured a Cuba City man. The Grant County Sheriff says shortly before 8 o’clock, they were called to private property off West Lane in Paris Township. Authorities say the UTV operated by 69-year old John Steffen rolled over in a field. Steffen was able walk back to his residence to call for help.
Steffen was taken by ambulance to Southwest Health in Platteville where he was treated for injuries and later released.
