Our coverage partner KCRG says the Dubuque Mayor and City Council Compensation Task Force is recommending a 6.3 percent pay increase. The seven member task force met last night and following debate approved the recommendation to send on to the city council for their consideration next month.
The part-time elected city leaders haven’t received an increase since 2022. The recommendation raises mayoral pay from $14,800 to $15,732 and city council members’ wages from $11,100 to $11,799.
