- Western Dubuque junior Quentin Nauman defended his title in the 3200 meters in Class 4A, claiming the 5th state gold medal of his high school career. Wahlert’s Jayden Brookins was 8th
- Izzy Hardin of Maquoketa placed 3rd in the 3A girls 3000, Emily Gorton of Senior was 8th in the 4A race
- Oliva Hilby of Wahlert finished 2nd in the 3A girls discus
- Campbel Drapau of Senior finished 3rd in the 4A girls high jump
- Tom Scherr of Wahlert was 3rd in the 3A boys 400
- Olivia Donovan of Wahlert was 7th and Haley Williams of Western Dubuque 8th in the 3A girls 400.
Day 2 of competition begins at 9:00 this morning in 3A and 2A and this afternoon at 2:00 for 1A and 4A.
