The two day Iowa High School State Meet underway
- Class 3A, Wahlert Catholic finished the first round in fourth place (309), just four strokes behind first-place Gilbert (305).at Saddleback Ridge in Solon. Sophomore Elin Mueller, who shot the low round of 3-under 69 to tie for first
- Class 4A at Pleasant Valley in Iowa City: Western Dubuque is in 6th place shooting 333, Waukee Northwest with 309 leads.

- #3 3A Wahlert swept #5 5A Cedar Rapids Kennedy 9-4 and 12-9
- #14 5A Senior split with Cedar Rapids Jefferson losing 3-2 and winning 9-1.
