Monday night, the ball will be in the court of the Dubuque City Council to decide if dogs should be allowed in more Dubuque city parks.
The agenda for their council meeting includes debate on, and a possible decision for or against a recommendation by the city’s Parks and Recreation Commission, which, following months of discussion voted unanimously at their April meeting, to maintain the current list of parks leashed dogs are allowed in.
Currently dogs are allowed in most city parks with a few exceptions including the popular Eagle Point and Murphy Parks.
