- The Wahlert boys soccer team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to Sioux City Bishop Heelan in a 2A state quarterfinal match played at Gilbert. The Golden Eagles season ended with a10-8-and-1 record.
Baseball
- #1 3A Wahlert lost twice to #4 4A Cedar Rapids Prairie 18-7 and 13-4.
- Senior swept #10 3A Cedar Rapids Xavier 3-0 and 6-2.
- Hempstead swept Cedar Rapids Jefferson 2-1 and 11-3.
- #3 3A Western Dubuque lost twice to Cedar Rapids Kennedy 8-4 and 4-1.
- Bellevue Marquette Catholic took two from Lisbon 13-7 and 12-2.
- Maquoketa lost twice to #2 3A Marion 20-1 and 11-1.
- Clayton Ridge lost to Kee High twice 9-1 and 9-3.
Softball
- Bellevue Marquette Catholic wins twice against Starmont 7-1 and 10-2.
Boys Tennis
The Wahlert boys tennis team will look to defend their state team championship and earn a 12th in school history today and tomorrow in Iowa City as the 1-A state tournament gets underway.
#2 seed Wahlert will meet #7 seed Pella this morning in the quarterfinals. The winner advances to the semi-finals later today. The state championship will be decided tomorrow.
