Members of the Farley, Epworth, and Worthington fire departments battled a fire yesterday just southwest of Farley.
The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says shortly after 6 yesterday evening, fire crews were sent to the Dustin Rundle farm at 78-31 Comer Road for the report of a farm building in flames. Firemen were able to keep the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings.
The farm building contained around 220 hay bales. Damage was estimated at around $40-thousand dollars. The cause is under investigation, but officials say the fire doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
