The Great Galena Balloon Race returns June 20th thru 22nd on the North Course Practice Range at the Eagle Ridge Resort in the Galena Territory. The weekend events benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Eastern Iowa and Camp Hertko Hollow.
The three day event includes multiple hot air balloon races, two-night glows, balloon rides, music and activities for the whole family. Admission is $5 dollars per person at the gate. Free parking and shuttle to the event is available.
Officials says since 2002, the events around the Great Galena Balloon Race have raised over $350-thousand dollars for JDFR and Camp Hertko Hollow.
