Man Charged With 1st Degree Arson For Downtown Dubuque Fire
A 23-year old man face charges of first degree arson for allegedly starting a fire earlier this month behind a building in downtown Dubuque.
Police say Naiche Jacobs is accused of starting the blaze on a loading dock in the back of 499 Main Street during the early evening hours of June 2nd.
Police say their investigation and traffic camera footage shows Jacobs, who had been staying at the Dubuque Rescue Mission, started a bag of clothing on fire directly against the building. The Dubuque Fire Department was called and put the fire out. No damage to the building was reported.
Earlier this week Jacobs was arrested and taken to the Dubuque County Jail where he is being held on $20-thousand dollars bond.
