The trial date for a Dubuque man charged with more than 20 sex crimes in an alleged sexual relationship with a minor has been postponed until this fall.
31-year old Fabian Swank who was scheduled to go to trial today in Dubuque County District Court will now have his trial date October 7th.
Swank has pled not guilty to all counts against him. He was arrested by Dubuque Police in February following an investigation that started after an Assistant Principal at Washington Middle School reported concerns a student was being groomed or was in an inappropriate relationship with Swank. The concerns came up after an alert teacher noticed emails Swank and the student were sending back and forth on a school-issued laptop.
Swank is being held without bond in the Dubuque County Jail.
