East Dubuque High School senior Carver Kamentz has been named an Illinois Class 1-A first team all-state baseball selection.
At the plate: Kamentz batted .404 with 18 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 23 RBIs and he stole 29 bases
On the mound, Kamentz finished with a 7-0 record, three saves in three opportunities, a 0.56 earned run average and 108 strikeouts against just 28 walks in 62 1/3 innings. He threw two no hitters.
