The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested a Prairie du Chien sex offender for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a teenager earlier this month in Prairie du Chien.
Authorities say 48-year old Shawn Levock was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail and being held on $50-thousand dollars bond.
The sheriff’s department began their investigation on June 1st after a report of a man luring a teen into the back of van; fortunately the teen was able to escape the van without being physically or sexually abused. Levock was arrested this week on a charge of child enticement. Authorities say he is a registered lifetime sex offender.
