A Dubuque man charged in the hit and run death of a woman earlier this month is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing today.
26-year old Bailey Foht was arrested following the death of 38-year old Kalissa Reeder on the evening of June 11th in downtown Dubuque. Police say Reeder was crossing at the intersection of Locust and Loras against a red light and was hit by the vehicle driven by Foht. Reeder was taken by ambulance to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities arrested Foht early the next morning at a Dubuque hotel and he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death and driving while barred and taken to jail.
In 2022, Foht pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an injury accident and served jail time, he also has a long record of other traffic related offenses.
