A southwestern Wisconsin community is getting ready to celebrate their bicentennial this weekend.
The village of Hazel Green, which was the first permanent settlement in Wisconsin, will commemorate its founding in 1825 during the community’s annual Tunes and Booms celebration Saturday with events beginning in the afternoon at 3 o’clock.
The party includes music, food and drink, games, raffles and fireworks at dusk.
