A Dubuque man has been arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography materials.
Dubuque Police say 28-year old Evan Schmitt used a messaging app in the crime in June and July of 2024. The material was flagged by the app as child sex abuse material and submitted to a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tip line.
Schmitt faces six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of possessing depictions of a minor in a sex act.
