The Iowa State Patrol has released the names of the person who died and the other who was seriously injured in a two vehicle collision in Jackson County. The crash happened on Friday afternoon around 4:30 on Hurstville Road, just north of Maquoketa.
According to authorities a vehicle driven by 20-year old Isaiah Ries of Maquoketa was heading north and for unknown reasons,crossed the center line hitting the other vehicle driven by 44-year old Mindy Williams of Maquoketa.
Ries died after being taken to the hospital. Williams was taken by air ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
