The Telegraph Herald reports Dubuque County Recorder Karol Kennedy resigned effective Thursday.
No details are available about what led to Kennedy’s resignation.
Kennedy, a Democrat, was appointed as recorder in February 2023 after John Murphy resigned from the position. She then was elected in November to continue serving in the position.
Kennedy had worked in the recorder’s office for more than three decades.
The Board of Supervisors will meet Monday to determine what to do next.
