For a fourth straight season, and fifth time in program history, a Wahlert High School softball team is headed to the state tournament. Last night, the top ranked Golden Eagles defeated the 8th ranked West Delaware Hawks 9-3 in the 3A region final at Wahlert.

Respond they did in the bottom of the inning with grand slam home run off the bat of senior first baseman Anna Roling to take a 4-1 lead.
Roling, the lone senior on the Golden Eagle roster says being on four state tournament teams is amazing.
Wahlert (34-7) earned the top seed and will meet Center Point-Urbana (25-12) in the quarterfinals on Monday night at 7 o’clock at Harlan Rogers Park in Fort Dodge.
