A Florida woman has received federal prison time for dealing fentanyl in Dubuque which was traced to the death of another woman.
44-year old Jessica Erickson was sentenced to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death.
Authorities say an investigation showed in May 2024, Erickson began providing a “mixture or substance containing fentanyl” to the victim. After her prison sentence, Erickson must serve 5 years of supervised release.
