A Clayton County man was arrested after he reportedly crashed a stolen vehicle and then stole another vehicle.
The Clayton County Sheriff says the incident started around 6:30 yesterday morning on the report of a stolen vehicle from a business in Garnivillo. The vehicle was later found in Buchanan County after it crashed and was abandoned. Buchanan County authorities then took the report of a second stolen vehicle which was located near Millville in Clayton County.
32-year old Henry Berns of Garnivillo was then tracked down and arrested. Berns was charged by the Garnavillo Police Department with first degree theft and three counts of driving while license suspended. Additional charges are pending.
