A Platteville man has been sentenced to serve five years in prison for repeatedly sexually assaulting a child. 23-year old Alexander Ortez-Martinez recently received the sentence in Layfayette County Circut Court after pleading guilty to one count of repeated sexual assault of the same child.
Ortez-Martinez was indicted on the charge in September 2023. Following his prison term he must also serve five years of extended supervision.
