jail prison sentence arrest

A Dubuque man with several outstanding arrest warrants was taken into custody Saturday, after a high-speed motorcycle chase through McGregor and Marquette. Police say they were tipped off by a video shared on social media that showed 33-year-old Travis Patrick Nelson staying at a vacation rental in McGregor. Officers spotted a man believed to be Nelson getting onto motorcycle. When they talked to him, he gave a false name and then sped off. The high speed chase reached speeds of over 80 miles per hour and ended when Nelson ran a stop sign and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. No serious injuries were reported. Nelson was taken to the Clayton County Jail. He faces several charges, including eluding police, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, speeding, and running a stop sign.
