Hot and humid weather and a lack of big-name concerts contributed to lower attendance at this year’s Dubuque County Fair, but officials say they are happy with the turnout. According to the Telegraph Herald, about 40,000 people attended the fair this year, down from last year’s approximately 49,000 attendees. The Jackson County Fair’s attendance, which was about 35,500, was down from 39,341 in 2024. The Fair was held at the same week as the Dubuque County Fair. Temperatures in Dubuque last week ranged from the high 80’s to the low 90’s.
