A Dubuque man is in jail on 250-thousand dollars bond accused of breaking into a home and attempting to sexually assault a teenage girl in her bedroom.
41-year old Andrew Heiar faces a number of charges which include assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and first-degree burglary.
Dubuque Police say early Monday morning they received the report of the incident. Following an investigation which included using traffic cameras, police arrested Heiar at his home on Ruby Avenue.
Heiar reportedly told police he had consumed several alcoholic beverages Sunday afternoon and had no recollection of traveling to the teen’s home.
