The National Weather Service says the tristate area could get a real soaking this weekend. A Flood Watch has been issued starting this afternoon and going into Monday afternoon.
Forecasters say heavy to excessive rainfall is expected across the region. They say hourly rain amounts to 2.5″ with totals into Monday approaching 9 inches in localized areas could occur.
There is a chance for strong to severe storms this afternoon and into tonight with a slight or level 2 of 5 risk forecast.
