The Dubuque County Supervisors have named the new county recorder.
This morning the board named Ann E. Sweeney to the position. Sweeney was selected from a group of 7 finalists interviewed on Friday. The job became available after Karol Kennedy announced her resignation last month.
Sweeney previously served as the Secretary of the Congregation with the Sisters of Charity B-V-M maintaining records and archives, but also had an extensive background in state government. She will serve as the County Recorder through the November 2026 election.
