As the country prepares to mark the 24th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks on September 11th, the Dubuque Fire Department will host Remembrance Open House events.
Each of the 5 city fire stations and Fire Department Headquarters will be open Thursday morning from 8 to 10 for anyone to stop by for coffee, conversation, and connection to reflect on the tragic day.
On that day in 2001 nearly 3000 lives were lost including 343 New York firefighters.
