If you see low flying helicopters the next couple week near transmission lines there is no need to be concerned. ITC Midwest says the flights are part of regular maintenance for their power grid.
The company says the low altitude flights will take place September 22nd through October 4th to allow visual inspections of the power lines.
ITC Midwest operates more than 66-hundred circuit miles of transmission lines in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri.
