Another Dubuque County Republican will run for congress.
This morning on a social media post Iowa State Rep Shannon Lundgren of Peosta announced she is running for the 2nd congressional district seat being vacated by Ashley Hinson who announced a run for the U.S. Senate.
Lundgren is four term state representative state rep since 2017. She joins former congressman Rod Blum and two other Republicans as candidates so far.
For the Democrats, there are four candidates including two from Dubuque County with state representative Lindsey James of Dubuque and Kathy Dolter of Asbury.
