A Dubuque man led a state trooper on a wild high speed pursuit striking two vehicles before it ended.
The incident started Tuesday afternoon just after 2:30 on the Northwest Arterial when the trooper tried to pull over a vehicle driven by 35-year old Stephen Travis Junior for speeding.
Authorities say Travis was clocked at 121 miles per hour as he sped away. He then turned onto Highway 3 heading south toward Dubuque and hit two vehicles from behind before continuing on. The chase finally ended on Jackson Street near the intersection with Milwaukee Street.
Travis was arrested on numerous charges and taken to the Dubuque County Jail.
