Charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a semi-truck driver last month near Dubuque.
This morning the Dubuque County Sheriff arrested 27-year old Kaylynn Knight of Maquoketa on charges of vehicular homicide and she was taken to the Dubuque County Jail. Investigators say they determined Knight was playing a game on her phone when the crash happened.
The Canada trucker was outside his cab along Highway 61 just south of Dubuque checking the load on his trailer when a vehicle hit the rear of the trailer and then the driver who died.
