Iowa state singles and doubles tournament:
Class 2A Singles in Waterloo: Maddie Bellomy of Senior advanced to the state semi-finals with two victories yesterday. Bellomy plays her semi-final match this morning trying to advance to the championship this afternoon.
Class 2A Doubles: Mya Hoden and Noor Kassas of Hempstead won their first match, but then lost twice and were knocked out.
Class 1A Doubles in Iowa City: Claire King and Annie Elbert of Wahlert won their first match, but lost twice and were knocked out.
Volleyball

IGHSAU Volleyball Rankings
Five area teams are ranked in the latest Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union volleyball ratings this week.
Hempstead entered the Class 5A rankings at No. 14 this week, while Western Dubuque dropped one slot to No. 14 in Class 4A.
Wahlert is ranked 15th in Class 3A. Dyersville Beckman Catholic stayed put at No. 6 in Class 2A.
