In a major announcement yesterday, the University of Dubuque launched a three-year, $150 million Momentum Campaign to provide future students with new resources, facilities, and opportunities.
U-D also announced a new engineering major, its first new undergraduate degree program in almost a decade.
Following the announcements the university broke ground on the Chlapaty Center of Innovation. Alumnus Joe Chlapaty and his wife Linda donated $35 million dollars for the center. The center will feature engineering labs, collaborative makerspaces, innovation arenas, and flexible learning environments. It will provide a hands-on space for research and collaboration for all majors.
The Momentum Campaign is set to finish on December 31, 2028.
