A southwest Wisconsin man accused of first degree murder in the October 2024 death of a Prairie du Chien man will go to trial next year.
Yesterday in Crawford County Circuit Court 39-year old Jessie Slaughter of Lancaster was given a jury trial date of March 17th.
Slaughter has pled not guilty in the death of Daniel Welsch who was found strangled and stabbed inside his apartment in Prairie du Chien. Slaughter was arrested the next day at Platteville residence.
