Boys Golf
Wahlert boys golf team qualified for its sixth straight state tournament yesterday with a runner up team finish at the 4A District Tournament at Pheasant Ridge in Cedar Falls. The Golden Eagles Shot 294, three strokes behind district champion Cedar Rapids Xavier.
Senior placed fifth at 309. Dubuque Hempstead finished 11th at 330, and Western Dubuque 12th at 332.
The state tournament will be held next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 13-14) at the Hyperion Field Club in Johnston.
