A northwest Illinois woman was seriously injured in a one vehicle accident on Highway 20 about two miles east of Elizabeth.
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says the accident happened yesterday morning around nine near the intersection with South Becker Road. Authorities say the vehicle 45-year old Jessica Bertucci of Stockton went off the road, into the ditch, and struck a tree.
Bertucci was taken by ambulance to Midwest Medical Center in Galena and then later airlifted to a Rockford hospital.
